My Genius, Madness, and Touch of Evil to Amass 40 Million Frequent Flyer Miles
![Jese Leos](https://bookclub.deedeebook.com/author/mitch-foster.jpg)
I started my mileage-accumulating journey in my early 20s. I was working as a consultant and traveling for work every week. I quickly realized that I could rack up miles by signing up for credit cards and taking advantage of promotions. So I did.
I signed up for every credit card that offered a sign-up bonus, and I met the spending requirements to earn the bonus on each card. I also took advantage of every promotion that I could find, such as double miles on purchases, and bonus miles for flying on certain airlines.
Within a few years, I had accumulated over a million miles. But I wasn't satisfied. I wanted more.

So I started to get more creative. I began to manufacture spending. I would buy gift cards and then pay them off with my credit cards in order to meet the spending requirements for sign-up bonuses. I would also book flights and then cancel them after I had earned the miles.
My methods were not always ethical. But I was determined to accumulate as many miles as I could. And I succeeded.
By the time I was 30, I had accumulated over 10 million miles. I was able to use my miles to fly around the world in business and first class, and to stay in the best hotels. I was living the high life.
But my success came at a price. I had neglected my personal life and my health. I was also deeply in debt.
I finally realized that I needed to change my ways. I sold all of my frequent flyer miles and used the money to pay off my debt. I also started to live a more balanced life.
I'm now 40 years old, and I have a healthy balance of miles and sanity. I still travel frequently, but I no longer let my mileage addiction control my life.
Here are some of the things I learned from my experience:
- It's possible to accumulate millions of frequent flyer miles, but it takes a lot of work.
- There are both ethical and unethical ways to accumulate miles, and it's important to decide what you're comfortable with.
- Accumulating miles can be addictive, so it's important to set limits and make sure that you don't let it take over your life.
- Miles can be valuable, but they're not worth sacrificing your health or happiness.
- It's possible to change your ways, even if you've been addicted to mileage accumulation for years.
If you're thinking about starting a mileage-accumulating journey, I encourage you to do your research and understand the risks involved. But if you're willing to put in the work, it's possible to achieve your mileage goals and have a great time ng it.
- Sign up for credit cards that offer sign-up bonuses.
- Take advantage of promotions that offer double miles or bonus miles.
- Book flights and then cancel them after you have earned the miles.
- Manufacture spending by buying gift cards and then paying them off with your credit cards.
- Fly on airlines that offer generous mileage programs.
- Use your miles wisely. Don't redeem them for flights that you don't need.
I hope this article has been helpful. Good luck on your mileage-accumulating journey!
